Today’s photos are of Mary in Ontario.

We built our house in 2008. Our gardens have evolved over the years.

It’s fun to see a perennial garden go from flat to full and lush. In winter it gets 3 to 6 feet of snow. We love the fall color from the maple trees, yellow pines and burning bush.

I love when the sun illuminates the Japanese maple in the afternoon. Quickfire hydrangeas are one of my favorite performers for year-round interest. There is always something new or different to learn, and we get a lot of enjoyment out of our hard work. I love that there are different levels and growing situations. We have full sun areas, wet shade areas, and dry and hot spots. I have fresh cut flowers from May to November.
