With a strong commitment to promote cleanliness and overall well-being, the Ministry of AYUSH has planned more than 220 events involving its National Institutes, Research Councils and Subsidiaries.
This prominent participation in the ‘One Date One Hour One Hour’ initiative shows the commitment of the Ministry of AYUSH to further the cause of cleanliness and health. Additionally, National Commission of Indian System of Medicine (NISM) and National Commission for Homeopathy (NCH) will actively support the campaign leveraging their vast networks of over 750 colleges.
Recognizing the importance of grassroots efforts, the Ministry of AYUSH has asked various states and Union Territories to ensure that all AYUSH health and welfare workers working under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) Join the ‘Shamradan’ activity at the centres. Moreover, more than 100 institutions and organizations under the Ministry of AYUSH across India are ready to participate in this laudable initiative.
AYUSH Ministry Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha emphasized the importance of actual ground level activities during a meeting held at Ayush Bhawan on 25 September 2023. He encouraged the officials and heads of institutions to ensure a participatory mode of campaign based on real ground activities.
To ensure the success of the campaign, the Ministry has appointed a nodal officer of Joint Secretary level who will oversee the preparation of the campaign and activities scheduled for October 1, 2023 across India. The most important theme of SHS 2023 is “Litter Free India”. The Ministry of AYUSH is actively engaged in this mission, which includes the Sochhata Hai Seva campaign from September 15 to October 2, 2023, and handling of pending matters (SCDPM) 3.0.
Apart from commitment to the ‘One Date One Hour One Hour’ initiative, the Ministry of AYUSH is actively participating in the Ayushman Bhav campaign. This includes conducting weekly AYUSH Health Fairs across India through its AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers under the National AYUSH Mission.
Under this campaign, more than 580 ‘Health Fairs’ have been organized so far, benefiting more than 28,000 people. As the campaign continues, nearly 8,000 active AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers are set to continue their efforts to promote health and wellness across the country.
