The newly re-elected board has pledged to work closely with the government and industry to address a number of current issues facing the Indian agrochemical industry.
Industry association, Crop Care Federation of India (CCFI) named Deepak P. Shah, Chairman, Sulfur Mills Ltd. as its Chairman and Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Pesticides (India) Ltd. along with Natur Lal M. Patel, Managing Director. Director, has been re-elected. Meghmani Organics Limited as its Vice-Chairperson during the 60th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in New Delhi.
The newly re-elected board has pledged to work closely with the government and industry to address a number of current issues facing the Indian agrochemical industry. “We are committed to further serve the interest of the farming community. We will encourage the Indian agrochemical industry to grow further through expansion and further strengthen India’s position in the global agrochemical market. We will ensure that our exports grow exponentially,” Deepak Shah said at the general meeting.
Adding to this, Rajesh Agarwal opined that Indian manufacturing companies should be recognized not only for their ability to meet global standards but also for their ability to produce goods at half the cost. “We will be part of the government’s Make-in-India initiative and thereby move towards pan-India and save valuable foreign exchange by reducing imports,” he said.
