Today’s photos are from Mary Murphy in Minnetonka, Minnesota. We’ve visited her garden before (More Blooms From Mary), and today she’s focusing on her lily collection.
Here are some pictures of my lotus. (Lilium hybrids, zones 3-8). I have slowly added to my collection over the years.
I started with this type, Lilium ‘Tiny Pearl’.
I loved that lily so much that I got ‘Tiny Rocket’. Both are compact varieties that grow less than 2 feet tall.
A few nameless lilies were the next additions.
. . . And an incredible deep burgundy red
The amazing ‘Rosella’s Dream’ was next.
This delicate pink color is called ‘Foxtrot’.
‘Nettie’s Pride’ boasts black spots against white petals.
The last lily is ‘Casa Blanca’. Unlike others, this is an oriental lily, with an incredible fragrance.
All these lilies bloom at the same time, creating such beauty. Lily of the day will start next!
