Two startups trained by the Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI) of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) were honored at the Kisan Mela organized by the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET).
Two start-ups trained by the Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI) of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) were felicitated at the Kisan Mela organized by the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) in Ludhiana from October 3 to 5. , 2023.
The first startup named, Agsure Pvt Ltd owned by Abhinav Mahajan won the second prize in the machine category. It focused on developing an app-based platform for agricultural industry stakeholders to interact. This particular startup was selected for a two-month training program under PABI.
Another startup belonging to Shruti Goyal was awarded the second prize in the exhibition category. This startup produces gluten-free Mashti rose petal jam.
Dr. Poonam A. Sachdev, Co-Principal Investigator, PABI, congratulated the PABI team for their efforts in supporting startups and giving them good market outreach. She adds that it was PABI’s initiative that encouraged her start-ups to participate in Kisan Mela.
