This partnership between NRFMTTI and Mahindra is a commendable initiative to empower the youth with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the ever-growing agricultural machinery industry.
Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute (NRFMTTI), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, under Govt. of India, one of India’s leading manufacturers of tractors and agricultural machinery, has taken a major step towards developing skills in the agricultural machinery industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. .
The strategic partnership, announced recently, aims to equip the youth with the necessary skills required for a promising career in the farm mechanization sector. It addresses the need to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the skills of young people, ultimately strengthening the workforce in the farm mechanization sector.
Highlights of the MoU:
1. Skill Development Programmes: NRFMTTI and Mahindra will collaborate to design and implement skill development programs tailored to the specific needs of the farm machinery industry. These programs will provide students with comprehensive training, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities in the sector.
2. State-of-the-art facilities: Mahindra is committed to developing world-class training facilities, state-of-the-art laboratories and providing experienced faculty to ensure high-quality education and training for enrolled students. This investment in infrastructure will create an excellent learning environment for aspiring professionals.
3. Industry Linked Curriculum: The training curriculum will be carefully designed to closely align with the evolving industry requirements. By doing so, graduates will be well-prepared and employable after completing their training, ensuring a seamless transition into the workforce.
4. Internship and Placement Support: The partnership will provide internship opportunities for students within Mahindra & Mahindra Manufacturing Company. These internships will provide practical exposure to real-world industrial operations, allowing students to gain valuable hands-on experience. Additionally, the manufacturer will actively participate in NRFMTTI’s placement efforts, which will assist in job placement for graduates.
