Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla delivered a lecture on the subject.India of Amrit KaalOctober 8 at EDII in Ahmedabad, in partnership with India Think Council. The participants included Dr. Sunil Shukla, Dr. Milind Kamble, and Saurabh Pandey.












In his lecture on ‘Amrit Kaal Ka Bharat’, Shiv Pratap Shukla highlighted India’s role as an innovation hub and praised the government’s initiatives in fiscal and tax reforms, education, and inclusive growth. He praised public participation in nation building and called it amrit call. Shukla emphasized entrepreneurship for a thriving economy, which includes innovation, risk-taking and value creation initiatives. He hoped that ‘Amrit Kaal’ would promote growth and inclusion of youth, women, artisans and citizens in India’s growth journey through skill development, advanced digital techniques, and global market access.

Dr. Sunil Shukla, at the EDII event, highlighted India’s progressive policies and EDII’s commitment to ‘Amrit Kaal Ka Bharat’. EDII collaborates with government departments to create opportunities for various groups. Dr Milind Kamble lauded the focus on education in the ‘Amrit Kaal’ citing the role of the new education policy 2020 in producing skilled youth. He also mentioned India’s G20 presidency, emphasizing the country’s efforts in financial inclusion, skill development, education and housing, as per global standards, and excellence in inclusion and development.












Saurabh Pandey highlighted India’s rapid growth in soft power, bilateral relations, AYUSH, education, technology, agriculture, and more, in line with the aspirations of ‘Amrit Kaal Ka Bharat’. The lecture was followed by a panel discussion which included the Hon’ble Governor and guests from industry, academia and government. They covered topics such as industry, tourism, the role of academia, climate change, and more.












The discussion was moderated by Sunil Parekh, a senior industry veteran and advocate for startups, who is also named the Founding Curator of AGS by WEF Geneva.
