Haryana Crop Protection Yojana (HFSY) in cluster II of the state for Kharif 2023 was announced by the Government of Haryana on Friday, September 22, 2023, to provide financial assistance to cotton farmers affected during the ongoing Kharif season in seven districts. .
Haryana Crop Protection Yojana Cluster 2 Districts
As per the notification issued by the Haryana government, the districts falling under cluster 2 category including Hisar, Jund, Ambala, Gurugram, Karnal, Mahendragarh and Sonepat, will be included in the scheme.
Haryana Crop Protection Yojana Financial Assistance
First, farmers will have to pay Rs 1,500 as a fee for registration of the crop on the Meri Masal Mera Byavara (MFMB) portal.
Second, they will be provided Rs 30,000 per acre as financial assistance on the basis of Crop Experience (CCE).
Thirdly, farmers are required to inform the appropriate authority within the prescribed time i.e. 72 hours to report local loss of financial assistance.
HFSY: Who can apply?
To apply for the Haryana Crop Protection Yojana (HFSY), farmers need to meet the standard level of disaster or incidents and risks. “The hazard events affecting crops under this scheme shall be floods, droughts, floods, hailstorms, unseasonal rains, and widespread pests/diseases,” the notification said.

Farmers should register their name in this scheme from 21 September 2023 to 30 September 2023.
Monitoring of the scheme
At least 10% of the beneficiaries will be verified and the report will be sent to the Director, Agriculture, and Farmers Welfare Department, Haryana before final payment of benefits to the farmers.
