Crystal Crops expects a significant increase in its revenue from seed distribution, which is expected to grow by around 20%. This is Crystal’s tenth acquisition overall and its fourth in the seeds sector.

Crystal Crop Protection Limited has expanded its range of cotton seeds through the strategic purchase of Sadananda Cotton Seeds business from Koh Noor Seeds. The acquisition is in line with Crystal’s mission to offer comprehensive and forward-thinking solutions to those involved in the cottonseed industry. The distribution of crystal seeds has recently experienced substantial growth through both organic and inorganic expansion. The company is now a prominent player in the seed industry, covering segments like cotton, mustard, fodder, sorghum and pearl millet. Their strategic acquisition of Sadananda cotton seeds from Koh Noor Seeds is expected to increase the revenue of their seed division by about 20%, making it the tenth addition to their strategic portfolio and the fourth investment in the seed sector.

Satyendra Singh, CEO, Seeds at Crystal Crop Protection expressed his positive outlook, saying, “This strategic acquisition will not only strengthen our position in the cotton seed sector but also our footprint in the wider seed industry. will also expand significantly.”












Previous acquisitions include the acquisition of Bayer’s Cotton, Pearl Millet, Mustard, and Sorghum portfolios in 2021 and the acquisition of agrochemical and seed brands from multinational corporations such as Syngenta, FMC, and Dow-Corteva. Additionally, they expanded their manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of a production facility from Solvay Group in Nagpur in 2018.
