Agriculture and IT ministers will discuss government achievements and initiatives in the sector at the Borlaug conference in Iowa to address global food security challenges.
Agriculture Minister Sangi Reddy Niranjan Reddy and IT and Industries Minister K Tarka Rama Rao will attend the Borlaug International Conference in Des Moines, Iowa, USA from October 24 to 26.
The Telangana State Government has given formal approval for their participation in this important event. His main objective in the conference is to highlight the remarkable progress made by Telangana’s agriculture sector during the last one decade.
Terry Branstad, President of the World Food Prize Foundation, invited KTR to speak about Telangana’s remarkable achievements in agriculture over the past ten years.
Both the Ministers are keen to share insights and discuss the various pro-agriculture policies initiated by the Telangana Government as well as the significant progress made in the agriculture sector.
The Borlaug International Conference, named after the pioneer of the global green revolution, Norman Borlaug, is an annual gathering that serves as a platform to address challenges related to food security in the global agricultural sector. This year’s conference is expected to host approximately 1,200 attendees from around the world, with thousands more participating online.
He will be accompanied by Ministers KTR and Sangi Reddy Niranjan Reddy, Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Agriculture Secretary Raghunandan Rao and Telangana Seeds MD Dr. Keshavalu. Their presence underscores Telangana’s commitment to agricultural development and its commitment to addressing global food security challenges. The participation of these ministers and officials of Telangana in the Borlaug International Conference reflects the remarkable achievements of the state in agriculture and its active role in contributing to global efforts to ensure food security.
