To boost Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth and global presence, the President of India recently expressed his enthusiasm for the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show. The event, which has attracted more than 2,000 manufacturers and 400 buyers from 66 countries, is seen as an important step to showcase the state’s products on both the domestic and international fronts.












The President lauded the initiative emphasizing its potential to act as a powerful platform for industrialists and entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh. He noted that the event’s focus on the “One District One Product” program, which showcases a variety of products, including handicrafts and items by youth, especially women, entrepreneurs, especially the able Appreciation is. In his address, he highlighted the need to promote industrialization and greater participation of women in the labor force.

Furthermore, the President acknowledged the remarkable economic progress made by Uttar Pradesh in recent years. He attributed this success to the state government’s efforts in facilitating the investment process, promoting a business-friendly environment and accelerating infrastructure development. As a result, Uttar Pradesh is now one of the fastest growing state-level economies in India, reflecting positively on the country’s overall economic momentum.












A notable achievement highlighted by the President is the emergence of Uttar Pradesh as the leading state in terms of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with over 9.6 lakh registered enterprises. Impressively, despite being a landlocked state, Uttar Pradesh has seen a steady growth in exports. The state’s exports have increased from about Rs. 88,000 crore in FY 2017-18 from about Rs. 1,75,000 crore in FY 2022-23.

The President also drew attention to the inclusion in the G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration of the goal of creating local value and addressing MSME challenges. He expressed confidence that Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair is in line with national and international priorities as per the objectives of G20.












With a diverse range of products on display and a growing focus on MSMEs, especially women entrepreneurs, Uttar Pradesh is poised to further strengthen its position in both the national and international markets. The event is a testament to the state’s commitment to promoting economic growth and facilitating global trade opportunities.
