Mahindra & Mahindra Limited’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a division within the Mahindra Group, has revealed its tractor sales figures for September 2023. Domestic sales were at 42,034 units in September 2023 as against 47,100 units in September 2022.
Total tractor sales for September 2023, including both domestic and exports, reached 43,210 units, down from 48,713 units sold during the same period last year. Exports for the month stood at 1,176 units.
Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Limited said, “We achieved sales of 42,034 tractors in the domestic market in September 2023. A strong recovery in Kharif sowing, over 110 million hectares. covers., and the onset of festive fervor is expected to boost farmers’ confidence. Regular September rains have contributed to near-monsoon levels, which will help Rabi sowing, especially But in the central, northern and western regions of the country. In the international market, we have sold 1,176 tractors.”
